One More Time Around The Sun For Our Own Ronald Lee

In the monumental recognition of the life of our Cook family Ronald Lee, we produced a Digital Staff music creation from one of the many family traditions, a poem communication, that recognizes the achievement of seventy-seven years around the Sun from our place on Earth.

"Gracie Mansion Smoke" is a singer-songwriter-style country ballad chronicling a chilling homegrown ISIS-inspired terror attack. It tells of two Pennsylvania youths, radicalized online, who drove to NYC with TATP-packed IEDs to bomb a protest outside the mayor's residence. Their failed devices and defiant ISIS pledges highlight the danger of lone-actor extremism born in America's heartland - naturalized kids turned threats, blending backroads life with lethal ideology in a near-tragic near-miss.

MAGIC IN MILAN ... a song celebrating America's golden age, created/curated & published through SUNO AI to honor the achievement of both the Men's & Women's Olympic Hockey teams winning Gold Metals in the 2026 Winter Olympics held in Italy. 

The chorus line was inspired by interview comments made in a post game appearance by a noted reporter, commentator, and interviewer soon after the US Hockey team struck Gold at the Olympics in Italy. The comment that was made was that it would be wrong to give a title that would be the same as what had happened at Lake Placid 46 years earlier when US Hockey won Gold - instantly dubbed "Miracle On Ice" - a new title would be better. So the Emmy-Award honored commentator mulled this around for a minute and came up with a similar sounding meme title - "Magic In Milan."

The mind is not a private residence but a furnished rental, occupied nightly by an unseen attendant who never signs the lease. This invisible lodger arrives without announcement, rearranges the furniture of recollection with careless authority, and hides the front door key somewhere among the cushions of yesterday. 

One wakes to find the familiar room subtly askew: the ceiling painted in the pattern of a floor, the ordinary doorway now opening onto an improbable ocean that breathes salt and silence into the carpet. It is domestic trespass of the most intimate kind.

Here are glimpses of those impossible rooms where reality spills through portals and furniture defies gravity in dreamlike disarray:

The attendant is neither wholly guest nor wholly thief; he is something more unsettling - a ghost who eats the host, a magician whose sleight consists not in disappearing coins but in vanishing certainties. He stitches shadows directly to the bone until the body itself becomes a screen for private films projected from no projector.

In these hours the self becomes a stranger wearing someone else's shoes, walking a script never auditioned for, flying without benefit of wings while a telephone rings in perfect, unnerving silence.
